Lines Written in Early Spring
by William Wordsworth.

The birds around me hopped and played.
Their thoughts I cannot measure:-
But the least motion which they made
It seemed a thrill of pleasure.

Earlier this week my garden birds decided that Spring had arrived.

My favourite pigeon enjoys an early morning bath  . . . .

. .
 . . . .  before he rules the roost
