Another film well worth seeing is “Quartet.”
In absolute contrast to the noise and excitement of “The
Life of Pi,” this is a gentle romance set in a Home for retired musicians. Maggie Smith and Billy Connolly take the main
parts supported by a very good cast; many of them musicians from prestigious orchestras
and choirs.
The people may be elderly, but they retain their strong
characters and individuality.
With beautiful settings and full of music, this is a film
with a difference.
